Hostel Fun sits on Šetalište 13. divizije, the eastern stretch of the Lungomare seaside walk that connects Pećine to Opatija. The front door opens almost directly onto the rocky shore — there's a small concrete swimming platform fifty metres east, and the proper Sablićevo and Ploče beaches are eight to fifteen minutes' walk further along the same promenade. The Korzo (city center) is twenty minutes west on foot or two stops by bus 1 or 2, depending on what you call brisk.
The property is mid-sized for Rijeka (roughly 60 beds across mixed dorms, a female dorm and a few private rooms). Rooms are simple but functional: AC, parquet floors, work desks, free WiFi, with private bathrooms in the dorm clusters and tall personal lockers in every dorm. The cheapest dorms are at the back; the front-side rooms with sea views run €4–6 more per night and are usually worth it.
The terrace is the entire identity of the place. Sea-view, table-and-chairs setup, a small bar corner that runs honesty system in low season and is fully staffed June through September, board games on a shelf, and entertainment-staff-led pub crawl meetups three nights a week in summer. There's a shared lounge inside for the rainy days. The property runs daily housekeeping, has 24-hour reception, and the staff books day-trip ferries to Krk and Cres without a markup.
The one trade-off: Pećine is twenty minutes from the Korzo. The bus 1A back from a late Korzo night takes ten minutes including the wait, but it stops running around midnight — after that it's a walk back along the Lungomare (which is well-lit and safe but takes about twenty-five minutes from the Old Town).

“The terrace is the entire reason to book here — sea view straight to the islands, board games, and the pub crawl on Friday filled the whole hostel. Sea-view dorm was worth the four-euro upgrade. Bus 1A back from the Korzo at 23:30 was the only logistics annoyance.”
