The building is the former industrial bakery of Maribor (the brick chimney is still standing in the courtyard), now part of the Pekarna autonomous cultural complex that runs an art-house cinema, a skate park, the GT22 gallery, and Salon uporabnih umetnosti — the city's main alt-music venue. That means the hostel doubles as the de facto crash-spot for travellers who came to Maribor for the alt-scene, and the courtyard turns into an open-air bar most summer evenings (free for guests).
Dorms split between mixed 4/6/8-bed configurations and a small set of female-only 4-beds, all with under-bed lockers, individual reading lights, and curtains. Three private doubles share a bathroom on the first floor.
